SciGrip Adhesives
SCIGRIP Adhesives offers acrylic cements, solvent cements, structural adhesives, and plastic bonding systems used in sign fabrication, display assembly, and industrial plastic production. The product line is built around bonding acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, styrene, ABS, PETG, butyrate, and other compatible plastics used in fabricated signs, dimensional letters, display cases, retail fixtures, housings, lenses, and custom plastic components. SCIGRIP adhesives are formulated by substrate type, adhesive body, cure behavior, working time, and final bond requirements.
For sign and display fabrication, SCIGRIP products cover a range of bonding methods. Water-thin acrylic cements are used for tight-fitting joints and capillary application. Medium-bodied cements such as SCIGRIP 16 provide fast-setting, high-strength acrylic bonding with more body for general plastic assembly. Two-component reactive adhesives such as SCIGRIP 40 and SCIGRIP 42 are used for high-strength acrylic bonding, clear joints, and fabrication work where clarity retention, weather resistance, and long-term bond performance are required. SCIGRIP 16 is specifically described as a clear, medium-bodied, fast-curing solvent-type acrylic cement for acrylic, rigid PVC, ABS, styrene, butyrate, polycarbonate, and other plastics. SCIGRIP 40 is a two-component reactive acrylic adhesive formulated for acrylic bonding where clarity retention, strength, weathering resistance, and aging resistance are required.
SCIGRIP product selection comes down to the plastic being bonded, joint fit, adhesive viscosity, fixture time, cure profile, and required bond strength. Tight acrylic joints call for low-viscosity cement. General acrylic and plastic assembly calls for medium-bodied cement. High-strength, clear, structural, or more demanding bonds call for two-component reactive adhesives. The product line is not general-purpose glue; it is a professional adhesive system for controlled plastic bonding in sign, display, and fabrication work.
