ORABOND® 1831 Double-Sided Foam Tape is a high-tack mounting tape designed for general-purpose and high-shear bonding applications where strong adhesion and gap-filling capability are required. This tape is commonly used for mounting components, displays, hooks, and mirrors on a variety of surfaces.
This material features a closed-cell polyethylene foam carrier coated on both sides with a synthetic rubber adhesive, allowing it to bond effectively to rough, uneven, and low-energy (apolar) substrates. The foam structure provides thickness and compressibility, helping the tape conform to surface irregularities while maintaining strong adhesion and durability. It is engineered for high initial tack and reliable long-term performance, making it suitable for both indoor and certain outdoor mounting applications. The dual liner system supports easy handling and controlled application.
