General Formulations® GFC116 1-mil Clear Polyester Removable Air Egress Mounting Film is a 1.0 mil clear polyester double-coated pressure-sensitive mounting film designed for laminating thin flexible graphics and mounting them to glass surfaces for temporary display applications. The polyester construction provides excellent clarity and dimensional stability for professional graphic mounting.
GF 116 features a dual-adhesive construction, with a high-tack permanent adhesive (HTAP) on one side for bonding securely to the printed graphic and a high-tack removable adhesive on the opposite side for mounting the graphic to glass or other smooth surfaces. This combination allows the graphic to remain firmly attached while still allowing clean removal when the display is no longer needed.
The film includes a 4.5 mil clear air-egress PET liner on the removable adhesive side, printed with “Remove to Expose Adhesive” for easy identification during installation. The air-egress liner allows trapped air to escape during application, enabling smooth, bubble-free installation when applied dry. The clear liner also allows installers to visually inspect graphics after lamination.
The permanent adhesive side is protected by a 1.5 mil clear polyester liner that promotes excellent clarity and wet-out during the lamination process. GF 116 is engineered for cold lamination, allowing graphics to be mounted without the use of heat.
